Community Forum – Chemsex Research with a New Perspective and Unmistakable Understanding January 27, 2023

Chemsex users are increasing all over the world, and there are research organizations in Thailand that are

conducting or planning to conduct research on various issues related to chemsex in various populations

and areas. Therefore, it is essential that researchers have a correct understanding of chemsex in

contexts and aspects without distortion, based on knowledge, not bias, in order to be able to conduct

comprehensive research, from finding research questions that are truly problems for chemsex users, setting

a research framework that does not stigmatize or discriminate against chemsex users and surrounding communities, conducting research that takes into account the context

of chemsex users' lives, and returning/distributing research data widely to develop systems

services and policies that will support a society that is supportive of chemsex users in terms of physical health, mental health, and overall life.

This community seminar hopes to learn the facts about chemsex, laws, policies and services, Harm reduction, exploring biases, and exchanging views and opinions from stakeholders, which will be useful for future research in this area.
