What is BoyxTherapy about?
“BoyxTherapy” is a collection of images that talk about the liberation and healing through male sexuality in a society full of gloom. Every image in this show is connected by a loose plot like an experimental film, consisting of characters who come and go differently, but every scene expresses a similar mass of emotions, on the line between love and awkwardness, seduction and indifference, concealment and disclosure, etc. The artist spent almost a year filming this series of images using digital photography techniques combined with the editing process according to the cinematographer tradition, until the results look like they came out of an old Erotic film and have a distinct style that is unlike any other.

In addition, the choice of displaying in the Krub space also extends the work itself by emphasizing the idea of sexual liberation that goes beyond social norms, creating a free space for diverse and exciting sexualities, inviting viewers to come in and experience it, release their heavy social status, and heal themselves with this aesthetic experience, to some extent.

shotbyly or Mel Pattakarn Saptham is a new generation of queer erotic photographers to watch. He graduated with a degree in film and is passionate about many forms of art. His photos not only present the temptation of his models, but also tell stories about their mental states, things that are outside the social norm that he loves. This makes his work infused with unique artistic elements such as colors, styling, composition, and emotions.
“We often use emotions to lead our work, which are usually negative emotions, such as sadness, disappointment, and loneliness. But these emotions help to add life to the image…”
